COBIS x DAIGON Esports Competition

Together with DAIGON Esports, we are inviting COBIS schools to take part in our Esports Competition.

Over a number of weeks, students will have the opportunity to represent their school and compete against their international peers in 2 games, Minecraft 'Capture the Flag' and Rocket League.

Student Squads

  • A squad consists of the students registered for the competition; a team will be nominated ahead of each game. In a game of Rocket League, 3 players will take part; in a game of Minecraft ‘Capture the Flag’, 5 players will take part.
  • Rocket League squad: Minimum 3 players, maximum 4 players.
  • Minecraft ‘Capture the Flag’ squad: minimum 5 players, maximum 7 players. 
  • Schools can enter up to 2 squads per game, per age bracket. Additional squads may be allowed, depending on capacity.
  • Students can only be a part of 1 squad per age group, per game.
     

Cost

35 USD per student

Age brackets

Under 12, Under 15 and Under 18 

The suggested minimum age is 8 years old.
 

Competition Dates

  • Tuesday 5 November 2024 (practice week)
  • Tuesday 12 November 2024
  • Tuesday 19 November 2024
  • Tuesday 26 November 2024
  • Tuesday 3 December 2024
  • Tuesday 10 December 2024 
  • Saturday 25 January 2025 (final)

Games will take place live from 15:45 to 16:45 in CET, GST, and HKT.  You will have the opportunity to select your preferred time zone in the registration form.

Winners and Prizes

The following prizes will be awarded to winning teams:

  • 1st Prize (Winner) - $300 Amazon vouchers (or equivalent)
     
  • 2nd Prize (Runner-up) - $150 Amazon vouchers (or equivalent)


Winners will qualify for the school Esports world championships: in person, in Malta in October 2025.
