COBIS x DAIGON Esports Competition
Together with DAIGON Esports, we are delighted to invite COBIS schools to take part in our first Esports Competition.
The Esports Competition will start on 16 January 2024. It is open to all COBIS schools, including Applicant schools. Over a number of weeks, students will have the opportunity to represent their school and compete against their international peers. Registration has now closed.
Choice of Games:
Minecraft ‘Capture the Flag’
- Recommended for all age groups (U12, U15 and U18)
- Can be played across Windows, Mac, iPad, Chromebook and consoles
- 5 players per team
Rocket League
- Recommended for all age groups (U12, U15 and U18)
- Requires a PC/Windows machine or a Playstation, Nintendo or XBox
- 3 players per team
Student Squads
- A squad consists of the students registered for the competition; a team will be nominated ahead of each game. In a game of Rocket League, 3 players will take part; in a game of Minecraft ‘Capture the Flag’, 5 players will take part.
- Rocket League squad: Minimum 3 players, maximum 4 players.
- Minecraft ‘Capture the Flag’ squad: minimum 5 players, maximum 7 players.
- Schools can enter up to 2 squads per game, per age bracket. Additional squads may be allowed, depending on capacity.
- Students can only be a part of 1 squad per age group, per game.
Cost
- 90 USD per squad for Rocket League
- 150 USD per squad for Minecraft
Age brackets
Under 12, Under 15 and Under 18
The suggested minimum age is 8 years old.

- 27 February 2024
- 5 March 2024
- 16 March 2024 - Final
Games will take place live at 15.30 in CET, GST, and HKT. Other times and time zones will be considered based on the geography of participating schools.

- 1st Prize (Winner) - Trophy, winners T-Shirts (DAIGON, COBIS and School Branded) for all winning team and coach, 3 x Xbox Series S, Free 10 week 'Take your game further' Esports After School Club with DAIGON for up to 15 students (normally $100 per student)
- 2nd Prize (Losing finalist) - 1 x XBox Series S and Free 10 week 'Take your game further' Esports After School Club with DAIGON for up to 15 students (normally $100 per student)
- 3rd prize (Losing semi finalists) - Free 10 week 'Take your game further' Esports After School Club with DAIGON for up to 15 students (normally $100 per student)
- All competition entrants - $299 Set up discount for 10 week 'Take your game further' Esports After School Club with DAIGON. (Set up normally costs $299, but will be free for all schools entering this competition. The cost per student still applies.)
