TEDx BSA Youth

TEDx BSA Youth 2026
On 13 February 2026, The British School in Amsterdam successfully hosted TEDx BSA Youth. Under the theme "Rethink the Now," the event brought together a diverse selection of speakers to explore history, sustainability, and personal growth.
The day began with intensive coaching workshops for five student speakers, providing a space to break the ice and refine their narratives together. Following a productive lunch, the students moved into a full dress rehearsal, ensuring every transition was seamless before final preparations for the live audience and cameras.
The results were nothing short of inspiring. The speakers challenged us to move from passive digital consumption to active shaping, to find the power in curiosity, and to recognise storytelling as a tool for fulfilment. We explored the courage required to seek new directions when traditional paths no longer suffice, all while being grounded by insights from guest speakers Bianca Stigter and Agnes Weber.
A special highlight was the inclusion of visiting students, Mahmoud and Yves-Allan, from BISMESL, whose global perspectives added another layer to the programme. The evening also featured a dynamic panel discussion with Mr. Mirza and Mr. Ward, bridging the gap between professional insights and the student experience.
The students did an incredible job delivering thought-provoking insights on their specific topics. A huge "well done" to everyone involved!
