COBIS Games

COBIS Primary Games hosted by Harrow Haikou, China 12 March - 15 March 2026.

The 2026 COBIS Primary Games at Harrow Haikou in the Hainan Free Trade Port, was a true example of sport bringing people together.

The COBIS Primary Games lasted three days, with one day each dedicated to athletics, football, and basketball. On the day prior to the opening ceremony, schools visited a local temple reminiscent of the Forbidden City, before taking part in a charity swimming event.

This swimming event was particularly special. Schools worked collectively to achieve a shared total distance, while also competing to swim the furthest as a team and, within each school, recognising the fastest swimmers in each stroke. This balance of collective effort and competitive spirit set the tone for the Games.

Although Haikou, as part of the Free Trade Port, offers visa-free access to many nationalities, the participation of over 25 nationalities from nearly every continent still required careful coordination. These challenges were successfully and magnificently managed through the support of government departments, local embassies, and Harrow Haikou staff.

Please see below for the results.
