Together with Discovery Education, we invited British international schools to compete with their peers around the world to create their own app.
Using Discovery Education Coding, children gained a firm understanding of coding concepts like algorithms, sequences and variables – whilst they practised computational thinking through problem-solving and the breaking down of tasks into logical steps.
Using the skills they had developed, students created an app based on one of the two briefs, 'Create a Maze' or 'Create a Working Tool'. We received 450 apps from 42 schools. The judges were overwhelmed by the quality of submissions. Thank you to everyone who took part and congratulations to the winning students!
