We were delighted to deliver the inaugural COBIS Drama Competition 2026, in partnership with Dubai College and with the support of LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art).
This exciting virtual competition provided students across the COBIS network with the opportunity to showcase their creativity, performance skills and interpretation on a global stage, while developing confidence and theatrical technique.
Open to all COBIS and Applicant Schools, the competition invited students to submit filmed performances in either a monologue or duologue format.
Entries were judged on:
- Creativity and originality
- Interpretation and intention
- Use of theatrical skills
- Overall engagement and performance quality
The event saw strong global participation, with 144 entries from 51 schools worldwide, reflecting the depth of talent across the COBIS community.
Students competed across two categories:
- Monologue (individual performance)
- Duologue (paired performance)
Each category was divided into three age groups:
- Junior (KS3)
- Intermediate (KS4)
- Senior (KS5)
