What does effective PSHE education look like in an international school?
Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education isn’t just another school subject; it’s a chance to give every child and young person an equal opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge they need to thrive now and in the future.
Through the PSHE curriculum, we address topics such as:
• healthy relationships
• digital/media literacy and protection from online harms
• mental health and wellbeing
• physical health
• belonging and community
• careers
• financial education.
When planned within a coherent curriculum, this has proven benefits to children and young people’s health, safety and wellbeing and their ability to navigate an ever-changing world.
This session will explore what effective, culturally sensitive PSHE looks like in international schools, including how to plan and develop an age-appropriate PSHE curriculum that meets the needs of your pupils, and what best practice in this subject looks like.
This webinar will be delivered by Liz Laming, Senior Subject Specialist at PSHE Association, a COBIS Supporting Associate.
