The Role of Educators in Net Zero and Sustainability

This webinar, hosted by Phoebe Armstrong of Planet Mark, will provide an insight into shifts in curriculums, UK Government legislation and international standards. Driving new expectations for educational institutions on how they operate and the best ways of educating young people about climate change and how we can tackle it as a society to reach net zero by 2050.

During this session we will be covering:
• How does the UK Government's transformative new Education Bill affect the way educators need to bring climate change directly into the classroom and how educational institutions need to 'walk the walk' in pursuing their own net zero targets.
• Other examples of international standards and legislation that are emerging to drive best practice.
• How can educators best teach climate change to young people, inspiring action and addressing eco-anxiety
• Educators in action: practical examples about how the education sector is tackling the climate crisis
