Encouraging teacher autonomy in professional development (PD) is not just generally good practice but also especially pertinent in today's "new normal" of pandemic-adjusted learning. Daniel Ibbitson, Head of Computing and Teacher Support at The English College in Prague, and Emily Rankin, Deputy Head of Teaching and Learning & Upper School, present the ways in which their school has fostered choice and flexibility in PD, which is viewed through a positive, growth-minded lens rather than something driven by criticism.
