This webinar explores the International Teaching Assistant’s role and the knowledge and skills required to successfully support teachers and children within an international school setting.
With teacher shortages set to increase and international recruitment becoming more challenging and expensive, investing in the development of local TAs can help to reduce attrition and increase staff retention.
We discuss how TAs can provide specialist support including planning, delivering and reviewing assessment strategies as well as supporting learning alongside the teacher. The webinar identifies professional development competencies and initial teacher training pathways to help TAs, HLTAs and UQTs refine and gain knowledge linking theory to practice enabling the best outcomes possible for students. From level 3 through to Masters programmes, investing in ITT not only improves standards of teaching and learning, it also enables schools to train and retain valuable loyal members of staff.
The session is presented by Emma Cook, Director for Apprenticeships and Jo Warburton, Deputy Programme Director for Straight to Teaching and Apprenticeships at TES Institute.
