Assessment and feedback: making the most of low stakes assessment

In this session, we will share insights from the 2025 science IGCSE results and consider how this may reflect the strengths and challenges of our own students. 

Using a Q&A approach, we will discuss how we can use ongoing assessment to check for understanding and plug gaps where necessary, and also plan to avoid those gaps or misconceptions in future cohorts. We shall explore how we can use low-stakes assessment to gain the most insight, whilst at the same time considering teacher workload.
