The first COBIS Wellbeing Conference was held at Dubai College, 14-15 April 2017. The conference was attended by more than 40 delegates and exhibitors from the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, China and more.

Speakers included Professor A. C. Grayling from London's New College of the Humanities, Ian Morris from Wellington College, Professor Christian van Nieuwerburgh from the University of East London, and John de Graaf, author of Affluenza: The All-Consuming Epidemic. Delegates discussed topics such as how to teach character and wellbeing, how to reduce stress, mindful parenting strategies, and coaching for wellbeing. Feedback from the conference was extremely positive, with many photos and quotes being posted on Twitter throughout the conference.
