The COBIS Conference for PAs and School Secretaries was hosted by St George’s International School, Luxembourg on 7-8 March 2019. St George’s welcomed more than 40 colleagues from 16 different countries, including China, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Bulgaria and Italy.

The two-day training and networking event was a fantastic opportunity to for PAs, EAs, school secretaries and office assistants to develop their skills, share best practice and meet international colleagues. Guest speakers delivered talks and workshops on topics such as project management, microsoft top tips, time management and decision-making.

Speakers included:

• Sandy Chander - PA to Ricky Martin (BBC Apprentice winner), Marketing and Communications Manager and Specialist Education Teacher
• Paul Pennant - Managing Director and Principal Trainer for Today’s PA
• Samina Azam - Executive Assistant, Coca-Cola European Partners
• Nicola Ross - Nurse and Mental Health Specialist
• Yvette Pearson - Career PA, EA & Marketing Expert
• Nickii Messer - School Staff CPD Specialist, Mentor & Author
• David Porritt - KAA Director and Lead Associate

In addition to the excellent talks and workshops, delegates had the opportunity to explore Luxembourg on a cultural city tour. They then enjoyed dinner at a traditional Luxembourgish restaurant whilst being entertained by a talented magician!
