The COBIS Conference for EAL Staff was hosted at British School of Bucharest, 16-17 February 2017. More than 50 participants travelled from schools in 15 different countries including Japan, Saudi Arabia, Luxembourg and Italy, to hear from distinguished EAL experts over the course of the conference. The programme included sessions on Equal Rights to the Curriculum, Translanguaging, Deconstructing Academic Languages, and more, and delegates were also able to take advantage of one-to-one sessions with the speakers to discuss issues specific to their schools.
