More than 650 delegates, exhibitors, sponsors, speakers and guests took part in our recent 43rd Annual Conference, 10-12 May 2025, at Convene 155 Bishopsgate, London, with conference dinners at The Libertine and Drapers’ Hall. Thank you to our headline sponsors, Cambridge, and a big thank you to all of our participants.

Conference delegates included representatives from schools in 70 countries worldwide. More than 6800 messages were sent between attendees in Whova, the conference platform and app.

The conference theme – Passion with Purpose – was explored during the two-day programme with sessions from Estelle Baroung-Hughes (Africa Learning International) on Nurturing Passion for Transformative Glocal Citizenship, Dr Jonnie Penn (University of Cambridge) on AI, Climate, Geopolitics and Education, Jenny Anderson (author) on The Disengagement Crisis: Evidence-backed Strategies to Help Kids Learn, Feel and Live Better.

For COBIS25, we wanted to provide more opportunities for conference participants to listen to and learn from the individuals who are at the heart of all that we do. We were honoured to have eight students from COBIS schools in Croatia, India, Myanmar, Nigeria, Qatar, Romania and Venezuela taking part in the conference as speakers, panellists and facilitators. Their contribution was hugely impactful, and we are very grateful to these students for sharing their passion, enthusiasm, ideas and eloquence with us all.
