COBIS Programme for Middle Leaders (CPML)

• "We have really enjoyed hosting the COBIS Programme for Middle Leaders and have encouraged many of our existing and aspiring middle leaders through the programme. Having our own team trained as facilitators ensures that we are able to provide significant support and offering the training to other British International Schools in Europe and beyond enables participants to benefit from developing professional relationships with other middle leaders working in similar contexts.
  
  In reviewing other options for middle leadership training, we found that the CPML is much more transferable internationally and is an excellent balance between taught, independent and research-based study. All internal school participants are able to ‘peg’ their research to an identified area of school development. It has also helped the school to further strengthen its links with other British International Schools (particularly those from within the COBIS family) which is not always true of alternative options that can be very UK-centric.

COBIS Facilitator Training

COBIS is pleased to have agreements in place with Universities, recognising successful completion of the CPML for credits towards an MA. Agreements regarding MA credits are in place with the following Universities:

• NITE (Coventry University)
• University of the West of England

In addition, COBIS has an agreement with the Department of Education at the University of Bath whereby Middle Leaders can combine working towards the CPML with enrolment on the MA Education programme by completing an Educational Enquiry unit.
