We are excited to report the success of the first in-person strategy forum of the British International Schools Safeguarding Coalition (BISSC). This landmark gathering brought together the six UK Government-recognised British International School Associations and The Safeguarding Alliance, united in a shared mission to champion global safeguarding
During this two-day event in Dubai, representatives from each association collaborated on the BISSC roadmap, advancing key initiatives including:
✅ Refining the BISSC strategic vision
✅ Drafting comprehensive guidance documents
✅ Liaising with government representatives and agencies
✅ Researching newly identified international safeguarding risks
As a result of the steps above, we have reviewed and updated the BISSC action plan. COBIS was represented by Board Member Fiona Cottam, Head of Hartland International School, Dubai.
