As a global organisation, COBIS understands the importance of connectivity, and the value of strong relationships and new partnerships.

We are delighted, therefore, to announce the successful launch of a new partnership initiative, COBIS Charity Partners, enabling us to work closely with two select charitable organisations who share a passion for, and commitment to, helping schools and pupils thrive around the world.

Based on the above, the following organisations have been selected as COBIS Charity Partners of the Year for 2021/2022:

United World Schools were chosen for their deep commitment to giving access to education for children in marginalised and hard-to-reach communities and practical opportunities for schools to contribute to their work.

UWS have said of the partnership, “This partnership is an invaluable opportunity to champion the power of education, and transform the lives of some of the world’s most disadvantaged children. We would like to thank COBIS for choosing to partner with United World Schools, and mobilise their global community of students and educators to support us.’’ Tim Howarth, CEO

The Eden Project for Schools, whose purpose closely aligns with our commitment to promoting sustainability amongst our network and beyond, were also chosen. “We are delighted to have been selected as one of COBIS’s charity partners for this academic year. As we are developing new Eden’s across the world it seems timely to have the opportunity to engage with an organisation and schools in such an international context.” Sam Kendall, Education Manager

Colin Bell, CEO of COBIS said of the partnerships:

“We are very proud to work with these organisations in supporting COBIS’ mission and values. As a global organisation, we have the responsibility to protect and provide for future generations all over the world, and these partnerships are an integral part of that.”
