Eligibility

You can apply for our Provisional School status if your school is not yet operational.

All our Provisional Schools are expected to commit to be quality assured by COBIS or any other recognised body within the first 12 months of operation.

Eligibility

Schools must be in operation for a minimum of 6 months.

Eligibility

• Successful BSO/ISI Inspection Report
• Action Plan in COBIS template addressing:
  • School Development Plan
  • Questions raised in the BSO/ISI Inspection Report

• CIS Outcome Letter recognising accredited status
• CIS Accreditation Report with ratings for all standards
• Action Plan in COBIS template addressing:
  • School development plan
  • Any questions arising from the CIS Outcome Letter and Accreditation Report
• Statement of commitment to British Educational Ethos and Values

• NEASC/WASC External Review Visit Report
• Outcome letter confirming NEASC/WASC accreditation status.
• Statement of commitment to British Educational Ethos and Values

The Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC), a world-renowned accrediting association and one of the six regional accrediting agencies in the United States, works closely with the Office of Overseas Schools under the U.S. Department of State. ACS WASC provides assistance to schools worldwide, especially in California, Hawaii, Guam, Asia, the Pacific Region, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. 

Eligibility

Where your school has had a joint NEASC/CIS visit, NEASC Accredited members may apply for COBIS Accredited Member (NEASC/CIS) status by providing evidence of:

• NEASC Outcome Letter recognising accredited status
• NEASC/CIS Team Visit Accreditation Report with ratings for all standards
• Action Plan in COBIS template addressing:

  • School development plan

  • Any questions arising from the NEASC Outcome Letter and Accreditation Report

• Statement of commitment to British Educational Ethos and Values
