COBIS Mangahigh Maths Challenge 2019

The COBIS & Mangahigh Maths Challenge is a free, online competition for 5-16 year olds. It is designed to engage students with maths through a games-based learning approach. Using the Mangahigh online platform, students complete maths activities to score individual points, which in turn contributes to their school’s tally. Teachers have the opportunity to personalise their students' activities to support their learning. Students can access the activities at home or in school so it can be used in class, for homework, or simply for fun!

2019 Challenge

Our 2019 Challenge took place from 18-29 November and was, once again, a huge success with 26,406 students from 126 schools competing!

We had two leaderboards to double the excitement and showcase the smaller schools with fewer than 500 students. Congratulations to Oxford International School of Bishkek  and Atlantic Hall School for claiming first place. They took an early lead in the competition and managed to maintain it - what a brilliant effort!

On the main leaderboard Corona Schools - Lagos had a fantastic competition securing second place, whilst Atlantic Hall School came in at third. On the small schools leaderboard, Rainbow International School came in second place and Dubai College, who fought, hard came in third. Congratulations to each of these schools for their brilliant achievements.

A huge well done to all students who earned 200 points or more - they will each receive a Mangahigh gold medal in the post.

Congratulations to everyone again, and a huge thanks to all the teachers and students who took part!

The prizes below were distributed to the winning schools.
