COBIS Senior School Music Festival 2019

Sponsored by charanga

Congratulations to all students who competed and performed at the COBIS Music Festival 2019.

The COBIS Music Festival 2019 took place between 3-5 May at The British School in The Netherlands. It was a wonderful weekend of workshops, competitions, performances and fun social activities.

This event was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate talented COBIS students from around the world through a full musical programme, providing them with the opportunity to meet and socialise with students from other countries.

The event began on the Friday evening, with a wonderful warm-up workshop led by renowned conductor, Dominic Peckham. The competitions then took place throughout the day on Saturday. On Saturday evening, students were invited to a fun evening BBQ by Scheveningen Beach.

On Sunday, students got the opportunity to work with some amazing workshop leaders:

At the closing concert on Sunday, students performed the pieces they had learnt during the choral, orchestral and band workshops. It was a very impressive show, which demonstrated the high level of musical talent across COBIS Schools.

A huge thank you to our event hosts at The British School in The Netherlands. Thank you also to everyone else involved in the success of the competition - students, teachers, parents, workshop leaders and judges.
