Dear Colleague,

‘Come Dine With Me!’ was the theme for the 2015 COBIS Primary Creative Challenge, with KS1 and KS2 students creating a stunning array of mouth-watering culinary delicacies from around the world.

In total, 41 films from more than 20 COBIS schools were submitted showcasing how to prepare drinks, deserts, snacks and main courses from Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. All the fantastic films can be viewed here on the COBIS YouTube Channel.

Congratulations and well done to all the students who took part and thank you to all the staff and parents who offered their support and guidance.

Thank you also to our friends from Oddizzi for partnering with COBIS to run the competition and for generously providing winning schools with a free subscription to Oddizzi.com plus Lonely Planet Kids books. Thanks also to Browns Books for Students for providing books for two of our winning schools who already subscribe to Oddizzi.com.  Excellent prizes indeed! And so, with an accompanying booming drum roll, it gives me great pleasure to announce the 2015 winners for each category…

KS1 Winners

• Most Creative Production – Edron Academy, Mexico and Corona School, Apapa, Nigeria
• Most Delicious and Unique Recipe – Salwa Infant School, Kuwait and Rainbow International School, Uganda
• Best Young Filmmaker – Rainbow International School, Uganda (Julia's class) and St Julian’s School, Portugal (Class 1GM)

KS2 Winners

• Most Creative Production - Riverside School, Czech Republic and King's College School, La Moraleja, Spain
• Most Delicious and Unique Recipe - Aloha College, Spain and the International School of Samui, Thailand  
• Best Young Filmmaker – British School of Al Rehab, Egypt (Class 6A) and St George’s British Georgian School, Georgia (Year 5)

Once again, congratulations and well done to all who participated in this creative and stimulating competition. With such a high calibre of entries, the judging process was far from easy!  To all the winning schools, certificates and prizes will be with you soon.
