ITEPS, International Teacher Education for Primary Schools, the first full bachelor programme which trains students as teachers in International schools. ITEPS is carried out by a consortium of three universities: University College Zealand, Buskerud and Vestfold University College and Stenden University. Connected to the consortium is an International advisory board with renowned members such as Prof. Jeff Thompson CBE (chairman of the ITEPS IAB).
We want to train new teachers who perform exceptionally as a teacher, combined in their career with adventure and travel. Some characteristics of the programme are: multicultural understanding, managing the multicultural classroom, study of the various and varied curricula (national and International), teaching practice etc.
In the same way that local schools work with teacher training colleges, the consortium would like to work with international (primary) schools.
