COBIS is pleased to announce that the 3rd COBIS Conference for Marketing, Development and Admissions Staff in British International Schools will be hosted by The Prague British School at their Kamyk site, 21-22 March, 2016.

Delegates:

This two-day training and networking event is open to delegates from COBIS Member and non-Member schools worldwide. This CPD event will be of interest to:

  • Marketing and Development Staff
  • Admissions Staff
  • External Relations Staff
  • Alumni Relations Staff
  • Bursars/Business Managers with responsibility for marketing, development or admissions
  • Heads or Deputy Heads with responsibility for marketing, development or admissions

Programme:

The programme will include a mixture of plenary and break-out sessions as well as opportunities for networking and sharing experience. The sessions will cover a range of topics including:

  • Marketing and Admissions for British International Schools
  • Sales for non sales people
  • Crisis Communications
  • Cross cultural communication
  • Managing the admissions process
  • Event Planning – theory and practice
  • Alumni relations from beginners to advanced
  • Fundraising from beginners to advanced
  • School Websites and Social Media
  • The Marketing and Admissions office as part of the school

New for 2016 - Based on feedback from previous delegates, the 2016 conference will include:

Pre-conference cultural day tour – Sunday 20 March

Arrive one day early for an opportunity to meet fellow delegates in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. There will be a morning trip to the beautiful Karlstejn castle, just outside Prague, followed by lunch in the historic village below the castle. We return to Prague in the afternoon where there will be a guided tour of the old town. Delegates are also welcome to sign up spouses/partners for this day trip. The cost of the cultural day tour is 60 EUR per person. You can add this when making your delegate booking through the online booking form below.

COBIS Spark sessions

Round table discussions on various topics of interest for delegates. Each session is kicked off with a delegate giving a short talk on an area of particular interest to the group followed by group discussion.

Delegate fees:

€390 for COBIS Members; €490 for non-COBIS Members

Delegate fees include lunch and refreshments on both days, a conference dinner on Monday 21 March, transportation between the conference hotel and the school, and all conference materials.

Please note: the delegate fee does NOT cover the Pre-Conference day tour, see above. There is an option to add the tour to your booking on the booking form which you can access below.

Forms should be submitted no later than Friday 4 March 2016. Please check availability with cpd@cobis.org.uk after this date.

No refunds will be offered after 26 February 2016. Please note - places on this course are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Early booking is advised.

Exhibition Information:

COBIS Supporting Members and non-members are welcome to exhibit at the conference:

  • £325 plus VAT for COBIS Supporting Members
  • £425 plus VAT for non-COBIS Supporting Members

* The exhibition fee includes access to the conference for two representatives, conference lunches, and refreshments at break times. It does not cover accommodation or transport costs (please see below for this.)

Travel and accommodation:

Delegates are responsible for booking their own accommodation and travel to and from Prague. Prague British School have negotiated reduced rate accommodation for the duration of the conference at the Corinthia Panorama Hotel. Deluxe rooms are available from 72EUR and Business packagers from 82EUR per person per night.
