Job Title:                    Communications and Membership Officer – Maternity Cover

Reporting to:              CEO

Hours:                        Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

Salary Package:          Circa £33,500 (Negotiable depending on experience)

Term of Contract:       Fixed Term Maternity cover from February 2016 (an earlier start may be possible) for a period of 10 months. COBIS has the discretion to renew/extend the contract

COBIS is looking to appoint a talented full time Communications and Membership Officer to join the COBIS Head Office team to provide maternity cover from February 2016. The Communications and Membership Officer will support the work of the Board and members within the growing global educational association. 

The post holder:

  • Will manage, design and deliver multiple communication campaigns which are designed to promote the work and global activities of members within the association and to attract and retain new members
  • Will manage the online membership application process and quality assurance cycle and support schools and commercial organisations with membership enquiries
  • Will promote conferences/training, networking events and COBIS membership services and to contribute to the overall efficient running of the association and the delivery of the strategic COBIS development plan
  • Must be committed to the promotion of safeguarding, child protection, safer recruitment and the welfare of children, young people and adults.

Working in the busy COBIS Head Office would suit an ambitious, energetic, highly organised and client-focused individual. In addition to high standards of verbal, written and numerical articulation, the successful candidate will have a deep understanding of educational matters both in the UK and overseas, be able to demonstrate commercial acumen and will have managerial experience delivering high quality professional development/training activities and a variety of high impact professional networking events.
