COBIS/Youth Sport Trust PE and School Sport Conference

Delegates are invited to register for the COBIS/YST PE and School Sport Conference. Staff from COBIS member and non-member schools are invited to attend this two-day event which will be held at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, UK, 2-3 March 2016.

Delegates:

This two-day training and networking event will be of interest to colleagues from COBIS member and non-member schools including:

• Heads of Sport
• Directors of Sport
• Headteachers
• Heads of PE
• PE Teachers
• Other staff with responsibility for PE/Sport/Games.

Programme:

The programme will include a mixture of plenary sessions, seminars, practical workshops, training sessions and a COBIS Spark Session for delegates to share experiences. There will also be opportunities for discussion and networking. Please see more details below:

Conference dinner:

There will also be a YST National Conference Gala Dinner on Wednesday 2 March held at the same venue as the conference (Ricoh Arena).  The dinner, which will be attended by around 500 people, is an opportunity to spend an evening listening to the inspirational stories of international medal winning sports men and women.

The dinner will honour the achievements of those from the world of PE and school sport and is a further opportunity for delegates to network. 

The Gala Dinner is included in the price of the delegate fee.

Timing:

This event will start with registration at 8:30 on Wednesday 2 March. The conference will finish at approximately 16:45 on Thursday 3 March. There will be a conference dinner for all delegates on Wednesday 2 March at the conference venue (Ricoh Arena).

Cost:

£395 for COBIS members (+ VAT for UK schools)
£495 for non-COBIS members (+ VAT for UK schools)

Delegate fee includes both days of the COBIS/YST PE and School Sport Conference, Gala Dinner on Wednesday evening, lunch and refreshments on both days, and all conference materials.

Booking process:

Please complete an online booking form by Wednesday 20 January 2016. Please note that you must submit your seminar choices for sessions on the 3 March as part of your booking. To see session choices for 3 March, please click here.  

Travel and accommodation:

Delegates are responsible for booking their own flights and accommodation.

Recommended local accommodation can be found here. Please note that the Double Tree by Hilton is located at the conference site and the Novotel Coventry is a 15 minute walk away from the venue. Delegates are responsible for their travel to and from the conference on both days.

Payment and cancellation:

Invoices for delegate fees will be issued by Youth Sport Trust. To cancel a booking, please notify events@youthsporttrust.org. Please note, no refunds will be offered after 14 January 2016.
