International School of Bucharest is a non-profit day school providing a British style of education for children aged 2.5 years to 19 years in Bucharest, Romania’s capital city. Children in the Early Years, Primary and Secondary school (ages 2.5 to 14) follow the National Curriculum of England and Wales, which is adapted to meet the needs of our international student body. Students in Years 10 and 11 follow the Cambridge IGCSE programme. Years 12 and 13 are the final two years of our programme where students are prepared for International A-levels.
ISB is authorised by the Romanian Ministry of Education. We have been registered by the University of Cambridge as a 'Cambridge International Centre' since 2001. Our school is accredited by the Council of International School (CIS) since August 2012. ISB became an associated member of COBIS in October 2013. Over 830 students from 40 different countries currently attend our school. ISB is committed to excellence in education and the personal growth of every student.
