2nd COBIS Conference for Bursars, Business Managers and HR Staff

20-21 November 2015

Delegates are invited to register for the second COBIS Conference for Bursars, Business Managers and HR Staff in British International Schools which will be held at The British School in The Netherlands, 20-21 November 2015. The conference is sponsored by WCBS International. Delegates:

This two-day training and networking event will be of interest to colleagues from COBIS Member and non-Member schools including:

  • Bursars
  • Business Managers
  • HR Managers
  • Operations Managers
  • Finance Managers
  • Estate Managers
  • Other senior administrative staff with responsibility for HR and Operations

Programme:

The programme will include a mixture of plenary sessions, break-out seminars, and practical workshops as well as opportunities for discussion and networking. To view the Conference Programme with more details about the sessions, please click here.

The conference will be spread across two campuses of The British School in The Netherlands. The first day of the conference will take place at Junior School Leidschenveen, The Hague, and the second day will be held at Senior School Voorschoten. Transportation will be provided from the conference hotel.

Timing:

This event will start with registration and lunch on Friday 20 November. It is hoped that this will allow some delegates to travel to the conference on the first morning and minimise time away from school. The conference will finish at approximately 15:15 on Saturday 21 November. There will be a conference dinner for all delegates on Friday 20 November at the conference hotel.

Cost:

€350 for COBIS Members; €450 for non-COBIS Members. Delegate fees include lunch and refreshments on both days, a conference dinner on 20 November, transportation between the conference hotel and the school, and all conference materials.

Booking process:

Please complete an online booking form by Tuesday 17 November 2015. Please note, if insufficient bookings are received by this date, COBIS reserves the right to cancel the conference.

Travel and accommodation:

Delegates are responsible for booking their own flights and accommodation.

A conference rate of €101.50 (including breakfast) has been negotiated for delegates at Hotel Van der Valk Ypenburg (www.hoteldenhaag.nl). This rate is valid for the nights of 19, 20, 21 November 2015. Accommodation should be booked by 4 September 2015 to guarantee availability. Please use the hotel booking form and return it by email to the address on the form. Transportation between this hotel and the school will be provided.

A conference rate of €101.50 has been negotiated for delegates at Hotel Den Haag - Wassenaar (www.hoteldenhaagwassenaar.nl) . This rate is valid for the nights of 19, 20, 21 November 2015. Conference dinner:

There will be a conference dinner for all delegates on 20 November at Hotel Van der Valk Ypenburg.

Payment and cancellation:

Invoices for delegate fees will be issued by the host school. To cancel a booking, please notify cpd@cobis.org.uk. Please note, no refunds will be offered after 16 October 2015.
