The 2016 COBIS Student Achievement Awards
How do COBIS students qualify for the 2016 COBIS Award?
The Award may be presented...
- For outstanding academic achievement at GCSE, A Level, or IB
- In Primary Schools, the Award could be given for outstanding academic achievement throughout KS2
- For sustained, high level contributions to the wider life of the school
- For significant contributions to the school’s charity fundraising activities
- For a single act of bravery (e.g. assisting in an emergency medical situation in which a life was at risk, rescue of another student in danger during an expedition, etc.)
- At the discretion of the Head of the school in the context of local circumstances or events
Nomination Guidance
- The COBIS Award should be for senior students only (KS4 or 5) or, in the case of Primary Schools, pupils in Years 5 or 6
- A maximum of 3 COBIS Awards to be given by any COBIS school in an academic year
- The COBIS Award should not be combined with other awards, although it may be accompanied by a book token or similar at the school’s discretion
A written citation, detailing the reasons for the award, should be prepared by the school, max 100 words, and presented along with the COBIS Award certificate at a prize giving event or similar.
The award is open to students of all nationalities.
Nominations for 2016 are now closed. COBIS will distribute COBIS Student Achievement Award certificates and prizes at the COBIS Annual Conference in London, 7-9 May 2016.
