COBIS Art Competition 2016 

"A Room with a View"

The COBIS Art Competition took place for the second year, with the theme "A Room with a View". 228 entries from 39 schools were sent in, showing us images from across the globe. Well done to all who took part, the winning entries can be viewed on the COBIS Flickr account.

Early Years Foundation Stage

Key Stage 1

• Winner: Oliver Karabulut - British Embassy School Ankara

Key Stage 2

• Winner: Xue Bai - British International School of Ljubljana

Key Stage 3

• Winner: Seo Hyeon Lee - British Embassy School Ankara

• Braeburn Mombasa International School - EYFS

COBIS Art Competition 

The inaugural COBIS Art Competition took place this year celebrating the global nature of COBIS with the theme "I live in this beautiful place..." 223 entries from 36 schools were sent in, depicting striking scenes from across the globe.

Well done to all who took part and thanks to our judges from Eric Parry Architects, British Embassy School Ankara and the Richmond upon Thames Arts Service.

Foundation Stage

Key Stage 1

• 1^st place: Daniela Pekařová - Park Lane International School, Czech Republic

Key Stage 2

Key Stage 3

In addition to these categories, some schools submitted group entries. As with the individual entries, the judges were blown away by the standard of these and the following schools were judged to have sent in the winning pieces:

• 1^st place: Year 6 Students - St George's, Luxembourg
• 2^nd place: Seven mixed age pupils - British School in Baku, Azerbaijan
• 3^rd place: Year 2 Students - Rainbow School, Uganda

Prizes: 

COBIS Supporting Member Serif Europe are kindly sponsoring the KS2/3 prizes including individual and school prizes:

• 1^st prize - the student will win a copy of the Serif Design Suite, plus a copy of CraftArtist and a Wacom Graphics tablet. The school will win a 20 user licence on the Serif Design Suite.
• 2^nd and 3^rd prizes - the students will win a copy of the Serif Design Suite and a copy of CraftArtist.
