The British International School Safeguarding Coalition (BISSC) met in July. Here is a summary report of their meeting:

As part of COBIS’ commitment to sustainability, we are pleased to share the details of our recent carbon emission offsetting initiative. As a global organisation, we are committed to climate action worldwide and we are proud of our long standing partnership with Planet Mark who have helped COBIS to benchmark our own emissions. While we recognise that offsetting is just one piece of the puzzle, and we will continue to consider our journey towards net zero, we have recently invested in a carbon offsetting initiative via Planet Mark approved partners, Gold Standard.

COBIS is pleased to announce a new membership route for online schools that have been accredited through the Department for Education’s Online Education Accreditation Scheme (OEAS).

This week COBIS launched the new COBIS Programme for Early Career Teachers (CPECT). The CPECT is a programme of professional development and support for Early Career Teachers in international schools, or other teachers who want to further develop their skills.

COBIS is delighted to be the first body of its kind to be recognised as a Chartered Status CPD Partner by the Chartered College of Teaching.
