COBIS Global Social Leaders Competition
The COBIS Global Social Leaders Competition is new for 2017-2018. Through the competition, COBIS students will be able to develop their understanding of global citizenship and how to turn their ideas into reality.
Watch our launch video now, and read on to find out how you can get involved!
Each team will decide on a project, which addresses one of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. The team at Future Foundations will provide feedback to all project plans submitted in October to ensure students are delivering high-quality projects in their communities.
Students will then carry out their projects from October 2017 - 27 April 2018 before reflecting on their project and the impact it had.
The competition is aimed at students aged 11 to 16 years in the 2017-18 academic year, however if you have students who are younger/older wishing to take part, they may do so.
Students will work in teams of 3-7 students.
The winning team will be invited to attend a Global Social Leaders Catalyst Programme.
All participants will receive a named certificate at the end of the programme and all submissions received on time will receive feedback on their projects.

Closing date - 27 April 2017.
COBIS Student Film
For 2017/2018 COBIS is inviting schools to submit footage of their students, either individually or in small groups, answering at least one of the questions listed below.
- Of all the things you are currently learning at school, what do you think will be the most useful to you later in life?
- In 200 years, what do you most want to be remembered for?
- If you could make one rule for everyone in the world to follow, what would it be?
- What do you most want from your teachers?
The clips will then be compiled to form a short film to be shown at the COBIS Annual Conference 2018 and will be hosted on the COBIS website and YouTube page.
