Description

The International School of Samui was founded in 2006 under its old name of Bluewater by the current Headmaster, Mr Jeremy Lees, a UK Qualified Teacher and former British Army Officer. The school reached full capacity very quickly on the small site that it was originally on. A new site for the school was purchased in June 2007 in order to allow for the further expansion of ISS.

ISS has recently completed a comprehensive expansion program that has involved acquiring new land next to the school, building a number of new classrooms as well as renovating existing buildings and recruiting a number of new teachers for new classes.

The expansion program has been neccessary to cope with the ever increasing numbers enrolling at the school and the strong emphasis that I place on ensuring we offer the best level of education for our students with the best facilities and teachers.

The recent expansion has seen the opening of the ISS Senior School which now takes students up to 16 years of age and offers both GCSE and A' Level examinations for entry to University.

With all the new facilities, classes and teachers at ISS, providing an all-rounded, structured and internationally recognised education for your child continues to be our number one priority.

Our motto 'Inspiring Excellence' says everything about what ISS stands for here on the Island of Koh Samui.
