Buckswood School is the cornerstone of the Buckswood Education Group, comprising the school, the Buckswood St George's centre for pro-university courses in St Leonard's on Sea, and Buckswood School students have the opportunity to spend up to six weeks in our Form III(UK Year 9). We also have a European sister school just north of Venice in the spectacular Dolomites location of Belluno, in Scuola Lingue Europa.We are a co-educational school for day an boarding students that offers breadth and depth within the academic curriculum, both at GCSE and A Level, complemented by an abundance of opportunity outside the classroom. We are school where a 12 year ol has the chance to strip a Ford V6 engine and play the bagpipes(not at the same time necessarily!) and a Sixth Form student the offer of a Business Studies trip to Japan.
Buckswood has a strong international ethos that shines through in all that we do. Our everyday enviroment is a global community wherein over 35 different nationalities are represented, with the British contingent the largest single component. We operate the school within a British boarding school framework, believing structure, self-discipline and respect to be the foundations of sucess as an individual. We are a curious mix of the traditional and the innovate: We insist on all children using fountin pens, on table manners being adhered to, and chewing gum being banned- but also thad all learn how to design a website, and are exposed to the idea of enterpreneurship.
