The COBIS Executive Team are located at the association's Head Office in Russell Square, Bloomsbury, London. In addition, COBIS is supported by the Board of Directors and more than 50 approved COBIS Consultants who deliver high-quality projects worldwide.
COLIN BELL, CEO
Originally joining COBIS in 2010, Colin works with and supports talented students, support staff, teachers, leaders and governors from British International schools of global quality spanning over 75 countries worldwide. Prior to COBIS, Colin taught in the UK, Far East and Europe and has led educational projects, in the UK and internationally working with the DFE, Government Office for London, Eteach.com and the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames where for 6 years, he was a member of the school improvement Inspectorate, with responsibility for school workforce recruitment, development, extended schools and leadership succession planning. Colin is a founding member of the International Task Force on Child Protection and a Governor of a British international school in Switzerland.

ANDREA BERTA, EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE CEO AND OFFICE MANAGER
Andrea joined COBIS in March 2017. She is an experienced Personal Assistant with history of working in the real estate development industry. Her responsibility is to look after Colin’s diary and assist the team in the office while getting involved in various exciting projects. She has previously worked within the hospitality industry, this giving her the opportunity to deal with people from all over the world and use her language skills. Andrea has an Executive PA degree in Business Administration and Management.

SAKINA ZAFAR, DIRECTOR OF ACADEMIC DEVELOPMENT
Sakina joined COBIS in August 2015. As Director of Academic Development, Sakina is responsible for guidance on curricular assessment matters, inspections and Quality Assurance, teacher training, recruitment and consultancy. Sakina is an experienced international education consultant and has worked with schools in the Middle East region. Her responsibilities have included developing programmes for whole school improvement as well as school operations and management, overseeing professional development and teacher training, private schools start up and international staff recruitment. Sakina has also worked as a School Improvement Advisor at Local Authority level with secondary schools in the UK and as a Vice Principal in London.

PETER SIMPSON, DIRECTOR OF ACCREDITATION
Peter brings immense experience of British international education and of quality assurance. He is a graduate of Oxford University and was a visiting Schoolmaster Fellow of Cambridge University for six years. Peter has 24 years of experience of teaching in schools both in the UK and internationally and was a school Head for 13 years in the UK and the Netherlands, looking after students from the ages of three to eighteen. Peter has had a long-term interest in leadership development and he has extensive experience of a number of inspection and accreditation regimes, both UK and international.

DR FIONA ROGERS, DIRECTOR OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT & RESEARCH
Fiona is responsible for the planning and management of all COBIS conferences and professional development events. After completing her doctoral studies in Oxford, Fiona worked with COBIS for three years from 2007. She returned to COBIS as Senior Professional Development Officer in September 2013 before being appointed as Director of Professional Development & Research in 2016.

GURPREET BANSAL, FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
Gurpreet has responsibility for finance within COBIS and is your main point of contact for queries related to subscription fees, invoices and charges. She previously worked in finance for a TV production holding company. Prior to this she worked for a company which provides cultural exchange and education opportunities to students. She has an upper second class honours degree in Business Studies with Professional Accounting from Westminster University and is a CIMA qualified accountant.

SHARON GALLAGHER, ACCREDITATION OFFICER
Sharon is your point of contact for all enquiries relating to the COBIS Patron's Accreditation and Compliance. Her previous school experience includes Marketing Officer positions at the Berlin British School (COBIS member) and Sutton High School for Girls (GDST). Prior to this she worked for a Lloyd’s Syndicate for nearly twenty years after graduating as a Modern Linguist from the University of Cambridge.

CATRIONA LAWLESS, STUDENT ENGAGEMENT AND EVENTS OFFICER
Catriona joined COBIS in September 2014, having previously worked at a youth education and marketing company. Catriona is the Student Engagement and Events Officer, coordinating student activities and awards and supports the Director of Professional Development and Research with CPD events. NATALIE FRIEND, MEMBERSHIP OFFICER
Natalie is your key contact for all membership queries, whether you are a school or supporting member, and whether you are a prospective, new or existing member. Natalie joined COBIS in September 2013 after having spent 10 years working for COBIS supporting member organisations including Oxford University Press and Galore Park Publishing. Natalie has a BA (Hons) in English and French from Southampton University and lives in Kent.

JAMIE RALPH, COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
Jamie leads on all of our communications and marketing including e-mail campaigns, website, social media, brand and storytelling. Additionally, Jamie is the person to contact regarding any of our digital marketing services or if you have a media request. With extensive experience leading on communications for membership organisations, he previously worked in UK higher education before joining COBIS. Jamie has a special interest in international schools as some of his close family have taught and studied at schools in the Middle East, Africa and South America. Educated in Ireland, Jamie holds a BA from the National University of Ireland (Galway) and an MA from University College Cork.

MANISH PATEL, FINANCE EXECUTIVE
Manish joined COBIS in 2017. As our Finance Executive, Manish will be assisting Gurpreet with all the finance related queries. Prior to joining COBIS, Manish had a strong background in the sports industry, working for various organisations and charities in their Accounts departments and as a cricket coach. Manish was also voted 2017 England and Wales Cricket Board National Young Coach of The Year. He has an upper second class honours degree in Accounting and Finance, from the University of West London and is a part qualified ACCA accountant.

HANNAH PORRITT, COMMUNICATIONS AND EVENTS EXECUTIVE
Hannah joined COBIS as our Intern in August 2016 and in April 2017 moved to become our Communications and Events Executive, supporting the COBIS Team with conferences and student events, as well as with COBIS communications. Prior to joining COBIS, Hannah was studying for a Masters degree at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. She is a COBIS school alumna, having graduated from The British School in The Netherlands in 2012.
